Leal Therapeutics is seeking an Associate Director to join its Business Development, Strategy, and Operations team. This role will support a range of related functions including fundraising and investor relations, business development, and internal operations (finance, legal, human resources support).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support fundraising strategy and operations including investor tracking, data room management, and maintenance/ development of effective external communication strategy and materials
  • Manage corporate budget and cash runway projections, including development of forecasting scenarios and other budget analyses required to support broader BD, Strategy, and Operations team needs
  • Support investor relations including presentations to Board of Directors
  • Support search and evaluation of potential business development opportunities (e.g., in-licensing, out-licensing, M&A, partnerships)
  • Manage and execute intellectual property strategy, in collaboration with counsel
  • Manage negotiations of contracts with external parties, in collaboration with counsel
  • Support other organizational and administrative operations (e.g., website/public communication, teambuilding and offsite planning, HR support, etc.)

Education, Experience, and Qualities Required:

  • Bachelor’s/Bachelor’s equivalent or higher degree in life science or bioengineering
  • Advanced degree preferred (e.g., MS, PhD, MD, MBA)
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in life sciences-focused management consulting, investment banking, venture capital, equity research, and/or corporate/operational role in a biotech/pharma/therapeutics company
  • Strong organizational skillset with ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Passion for bringing new therapies to serve patients with unmet medical needs
